This page will highlight the rating achievements of our top local players and also those out-of-town players who frequently take part in our events. It will also be a way to recognize those players who cross the coveted 2000 rating boundary for the first time.
To be listed on this page, a player must either be considered a local Allentown area resident (a definition which by its very nature is a little vague), OR have historical ties to the area, OR be a frequent participant in our weekly tournaments.
Players are listed by their highest USCF-rating achieved -- as shown on the USCF website (http://www.uschess.org/) under the MSA area. For simplicity, this list goes by post-event rating (not just the official rating lists), so it is possible that the re-rating of events could alter some results. Note that MSA only goes back to approx. 1991.
