Greg Fink made a non-playing appearance at the August Quads.  He says he will crush everyone when he starts playing again.  One small problem for Greg -- as you can see, he still plays the French Defense (1.e4 e6).  (174th Second Saturday Quads 8-9-08)

When Laverne Gildner and Ken Smith faced off against Kevin Zhou and Benjamin Lu (both in red) in the first round of the August Quads, it was a case of experience vs. youth.  The games were hard-fought, but experience won -- this time.  (174th Second Saturday Quads 8-9-08)
